Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run
May 30, 2008

What is the greatest benefit of donating to the Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run? Your generosity will help give Maryland’s children and adults with mental retardation and/or closely related developmental disabilities the opportunity to discover their talents and gifts through the year-round programs of sport training and athletic competition offered by Special Olympics Maryland.

As a “TORCH SPONSOR”, your company will make a donation of $1,000.00 to the Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run.  Your company will then be sponsored on one of the many checkpoints set up throughout the run.  Your company will receive fifteen (15) Torch Run T-shirts or hats.  Your company will also receive a Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run Plaque from the St. Mary’s County Fraternal Order of Police.

As a “PARTNER”, your company will make a donation of at least $150.00 and will receive five (5) Torch Run T-shirts or hats.  Your company will encourage employees to wear the Torch Run T-shirt on Friday May 30, 2008, a day designated as Maryland Law Enforcement Torch Run for St. Mary’s County.  Your company will also receive a certificate of appreciation.

As an “INDIVIDUAL”, you or your company can make a donation of $10.00 and receive a Torch Run T-shirt or hat.

ALL persons or companies making donations to the Torch Run are welcome to participate in the run/walk.  The event will be kicked off at the Wildewood Shopping Center with coffee and warm-ups at 8:00 a.m., followed by a meal at the Outback Steakhouse after the run.  If you are interested in participating with the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Maryland, please contact David Alexander at 301-475-4200 x1954, Kathy Kreps at 301-475-4200 x1950 or Brian Hartz at 301-475-4200 x2278.

Thank you for your generous contribution and support.  Special Olympics Maryland is a non-profit organization.  All donations are tax-deductible to the extent of the law.
