Within the Sheriff’s Office, the Commander of the Administrative Division and the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer are responsible for developing and administering the Sheriff’s Office’s budget at the direction of the Sheriff for St. Mary’s County, MD. For budgetary and accounting purposes, the Sheriff’s Office's operating budget comprises six divisions: Law Enforcement, Corrections, Grants, Court Security, Training, and Canine.
