Located at the Sheriff's Office District 3 Station, the Crime Lab combines advanced technology with years of investigative and laboratory experience to help ensure evidence is processed accurately and professionally.
The Crime Lab is staffed by a supervisor, five crime lab technicians, and a digital forensic examiner. Crime lab technicians are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to crime scenes, document evidence, and provide forensic support for investigations.
The Digital Forensics Unit specializes in identifying, acquiring, analyzing, and reporting electronically stored data. The digital forensic examiner processes mobile devices and other digital evidence to assist investigators in criminal cases.
The Crime Lab provides forensic services to every division within the Sheriff's Office and, when requested, assists allied law enforcement agencies throughout the region.
