Judicial Section

Judical Section

The Judicial Section of the Sheriff’s Office plays an important role in supporting our local justice system. This section is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and smooth operation of the Circuit Courthouse, as well as serving legal documents issued by both the Circuit and District Courts throughout the county.

Our deputies provide daily courtroom security, ensuring that judges, staff, jurors, and visitors can safely carry out court business. Their presence helps keep proceedings orderly and ensures everyone who enters the courthouse feels secure.

In addition to courthouse security, our civilian Process Servers and deputies assigned to the Child Support Unit and Evictions are responsible for delivering and enforcing a wide range of legal documents, including:

  • Writs of Execution
  • Attachments
  • Criminal Summonses
  • Body Attachments
  • Subpoenas (Civil and Criminal)
  • Child Support Orders
  • Evictions

Every document served and every courtroom protected represents a crucial part of keeping the judicial system running fairly and efficiently. Through these efforts, the Sheriff’s Office helps ensure that justice is accessible, reliable, and carried out with integrity for everyone in our community.
